Gunmen Attack Sunni Mosque In Iraq

March 25, 2007 -- Gunmen attacked a Sunni mosque in the town of Haswah, south of Baghdad today, setting it ablaze a day after a suicide truck bomber struck near a Shi'ite mosque in the same area.

Officials say at least four people were wounded and a curfew has been imposed.Meanwhile, reports say that at least seven people were killed and five bodies found across Iraq today.The U.S. military today gave more details about the seizure of a chlorine truck bomb on March 23 in Al-Ramadi, west of Baghdad.

The suicide bombing near the Shi'ite mosque in Haswah on March 24 killed at least 14 people.


They said the vehicle contained several thousand liters of chlorine and two tons of explosives. The seizure was first reported on March 23. There have been seven chlorine bomb attacks in Iraq in the past few months.
